BERLUSCONI, EARTHQUAKE BEING MUCH MANIPULATED

As regards the earthquake, “it seems to me that it is a case of great manipulation”. Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was commenting on the protests made by L’Aquila residents in Rome yesterday. “We took steps immediately after the earthquake, and they were extremely effective. It is now up to the local authorities to progress reconstruction work”, he added, “the government has given out grants, and it is now time for the Municipality and the Region to do their bit”.
