BURMA’S SAN SUU KYI APPEALS DISBANDING OF NLD PARTY

Aung San Suu Kyi filed against Burma’s military junta for its disbanding of the country’s main opposition party. The opposition leader filed her petition with the country’s Supreme Court. The National League for Democracy (NLD) was disbanded after boycotting the November 7, 2009 elections. The elections were the first in almost two decades and were mired by controversy with observers.
