Cardinal Sepe has said in regard to the G8 Enquiry “I acted with maximum transparency and guided by my conscience”. In a letter to the faithful in the diocese, which was read out at a press conference in Naples, the Cardinal went on to say in his defence that he had acted “for the good of the Church”.
Budgets for all the works under contention, explained Sepe, were all “properly approved by the prefectural offices for economic affairs and by the Secretary of State”. .
