G8 INQUIRY,SEPE LAWYERS MEET PERUGIA PROSECUTORS

Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe’s lawyers this morning met Perugia prosecutors. They saw deputy prosecutors Sergio Sottani and Alessia Tavarnesi, who are running the ‘Big Events’ inquiry’ in which the current Archbishop of Naples is under investigation for corruption.

Leaving the prosecutor’s office, lawyer Bruno Von Arx just commented: “We came to introduce ourselves to the magistrates and to summarise the situation.” The lawyer reported that at the moment no date has been set for questioning his client.
