Only a very small number of Italians in Ladakh have still not been traced by the Italian Foreign Office. The Ministry has managed to contact more fellow-countrymen over the last few hours and cut down the number of those still untraced, which had stood at 28. The Ministry explained that “the few Italians that have not made contact with our facilities may be in areas in which there is no telephone access even under normal conditions”.
