The leader of the Iranian opposition, Mehdi Karrubi, is really under house arrest. The former Parliamentary Speaker has been forced by Basij militia to remain in his Tehran home since Wednesday night so as to prevent him taking part in the celebrations for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
