ISLAM: HOLY SEE- VIOLENCE CANNOT BE FOUGHT BY BURNING KORAN

The Vatican claims “every religion, holy text, place and symbol of worship deserves respect and protection”. The Holy See, in a communique issued by the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, also expressed “grave concern” regarding the proposal to celebrate “Burn-a-Koran Day” on September 11, the anniversary of the tragic 9/11 terrorist attacks. “Those despicable, violent acts cannot be remedied through a deeply contemptuous act against what is considered to be a sacred text by an entire religious community.”
