ISTAT: 7.8 MILLION POOR IN ITALY, 13.1% OF THE POPULATION
According to Istat, there are 7,810,000 Italians in a state of poverty, amounting to 13,1% of the entire population. Among these, 3,074,000 persons are recorded to live in conditions of absolute poverty, accounting for 5.2% of the whole population.
