According to opposition leader Karrubi, sanctions imposed on Iran strengthen Ahmadinejad’s regime. In an interview with ‘The Guardian’, Karrubi explained that sanctions have allowed Ahmadinejad’s government to repress the oppositions, accusing them of being responsible for “the unstable situation in the country.”
