LIPPI, “OUR TOURNAMENT HAS NOT STARTED YET”

Despite his team’s poor performance yesterday, Italy coach Lippi tried to restore confidence to the group. “We have no fears. Our tournament has not started yet” he said.

“You can’t always rely on a fast lane to move forward” he added, explaining that “anything can still happen: we can either win our group or finish second, but playing the big teams isn’t necessarily the worst thing our national squad could be faced with” .
