A 56 year-old man has begun a bid to swim 1,200 km down the Yangtze to the World Expo in Shanghai. Bao Zhengbing is braving the pollution to fulfill a childhood dream. A telephone company worker, he left the city of Wuhan on Wednesday and intends to swim the world’s third longest river at a rate of 40 kilometres per day.
