Nigeria’s Arik Airlines has received permission from US security authorities to fly in the United States. Nigeria has therefore become one of only six African countries (the others being Morocco, South Africa, Cape Verde, Kenya and Ethiopia) whose airlines are allowed to operate flights in the United States which is traditionally an important market due to the high number of African immigrants living there.
