In the long-distance dispute between the EU Commission and France on the Roma, Germany lines up with Brussels. The freedom of movement within the EU is “unconditioned” and “no discrimination is allowed against ethnic minorities”, said the spokesperson of the Government. “Naturally, such declarations can be more helpful if toned down”.
