SKYPE AND GOOGLE UNDER PRESSURE FROM INDIA

After Blackberry, India may officially ask Google and Skype to decrypt their messages. Research in Motion (RIM, which owns Blackberry,) has been given 60 days by India to provide access to users’ emails and text messages. This request, analogous to the one made by the Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, arises from the need to place smartphones under control to fight terrorism.
