USA: NYC, CAR-SHARING AMONG CITY EMPLOYEES UNDER STUDY

The New York mayor, Michael Bloomberg, is looking at public sector car-sharing. The goal: 500000 dollars of savings in 4 years, reducing the city employees’ abuses. A pilot plan is based on the substitution of 50 vehicles of the Transportation Department fleet with 25 cars rented by the by ZipCar Company. After 3:00 PM, the cars will be be used by private renters.
