New York – The UN and OECD are calling for an end to violence in Kyrgyzstan. UN special envoy Mirosalv Jenca says that the Government in Bishkek must take all possible steps to ensure that the violence does not spread to the entire region. Lynn Pascoe, UN Under-Secretary General, has called for a humanitarian corridor to be opened to ensure the safe passage of victims of the clashes.
